An “Ace” of a wedding! We’re talking about Carrie Underwood including her dog Ace.
“He’ll be one of the ring bearers — he’s like my kid,” the singer told reporters at the Bideawee animal shelter in Manhattan. “If I was getting married and I had a child, of course my child would be in the wedding. Ace is such a big part of my life.”
And yes, it’s true: Underwood and her Canadian hockey star fiancé Mike Fisher are thinking about getting another dog.
“I definitely want another dog … It all comes down to travel, but if we got one it would probably [live] more in Canada. Ace is so little, he can go everywhere with me. If we got a bigger dog it would be a little bit more of a challenge.”
Either way, mutt Ace’s exact role in the upcoming nuptials still requires some careful consideration, Underwood says.
“I don’t know if I’ll put the ring on him,” she laughs. “I don’t know if he’ll run away with it or eat it or something!”
